Explore texture, depth, and expressive mark-making in this hands-on 2-hour workshop, “Molding Paste with Acrylics.” Led by local artist Sharon Blair, this class introduces the creative possibilities of combining molding paste, acrylic paint, and palette knives to build richly layered, dimensional surfaces.
Participants will learn how to apply and manipulate molding paste to create texture, then enhance their work with acrylic color and dynamic knife techniques. Sharon will demonstrate approaches for both abstract and representational effects, offering guidance on composition, layering, and surface treatment.
All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary! Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment. This workshop is ideal for beginners as well as experienced artists looking to expand their mixed-media practice, or introduce acrylic mediums into their painting.
