Japanese Watercolor Leaves Saturday October 24 2:00 - 4:00

Come play with color, texture, and a little bit of creative mischief in this fun and wonderfully experimental 2-hour workshop! Using traditional and modern Japanese watercolors, we’ll create gorgeous, expressive leaves on a variety of paper surfaces...including Mineral Paper, Hot Press, Cold Press, and more!

But these aren’t just leaves to look at. You’ll want to jump right into them! Explore how Japanese watercolors behave on different surfaces, experiment with unexpected effects, and let the paint take you places you didn’t expect.

We’ll also sample Japanese Manga Liners and other drawing media to add delicious little details, patterns, lines, and textures to our leafy creations.

And when you’re finished? The leaves are yours to do whatever you like with! Keep them as individual works of art, or turn them into fabulous collage pieces, mixed-media artwork, cards, and more!

This class is always a hit, so bring a friend and double the fun! Let go of your inhibitions, forget about staying inside the lines, and give yourself permission to think outside the box- in the very best way.
