Soda Ash dye fixer (also known as sodium carbonate, washing soda, or salt soda) is a mild alkali that promotes the chemical reaction between Procion MX fiber reactive dyes and cellulose fiber. It is necessary to activate and ‘fix’ (make permanent) Procion MX dye. Use at lower temperatures for best results. Roughly 1oz per gallon of water is needed when dyeing.
