Intro to Pastels Friday June 26 11:00 - 1:00

Discover the luminous, expressive world of pastel painting in this fun 2-hour workshop with local artist Sharon Blair. Students will explore the unique qualities of stick pastels, pastel pencils, and PanPastels while experimenting with a variety of pastel papers and surfaces. All materials are provided, making this the perfect introduction for beginners or anyone curious about the medium.

Rather than focusing on completing a finished artwork, this workshop emphasizes hands-on exploration and foundational techniques, giving students the confidence and knowledge to continue their pastel journey at home throughout the summer's "high pastels" season.

An Intermediate Pastels class will be offered in August for those ready to take the next step.
